Here are the results of the first workshop held in Sutton Village, Bedfordshire at the end of August 2018. The students (aged between twelve and 15) scored the stop animation A War to End No Wars, with the support of its creator Ruth Coggins. The students decided to write for professional cellist and harpist, and along with performances on their own instruments (we had a horn player, trumpeter, trombonist, singer, two pianists and a violinist), they came up with this. They really did a fantastic job!

Feedback from Julian Joseph

"The results are staggeringly impressive. Sensitive application of music to the animation which I loved and the story was totally enhanced by the music and its placement in the drama! The music was full of quality with the elements of brass, strings & harp, voice, percussion, celeste and keyboard sounds and effects all performed impeccably. I’m so happy to experience such a professional quality result. I’m sure all involved had a wonderful time and say here’s to the next one! Pass my congratulations on to everyone involved please. The animation/work as a whole speaks for itself - excellent!"
